The ATC, an initiative of the Microfinance Agricultural Learning and Development Center MLDC, is envisioned to be a hub for capacity building in core and soft skills through management and technical vocational training in the Nigerian agricultural industry. Our courses are tailored to global agribusiness best practices but adaptable to Nigeria and the West African business climate. We are addressing the sector’s capacity building challenges through, good agriculture practices, and improved use of technology in agricultural production.

For the board of MLDC and our partners, our focus for the ATC is the believe that education, research, and advocacy are crucial to sustainable agriculture and food security. Our team, consisting of experienced trainers and researchers, are committed to delivering quality training and research services to our clients. We work closely with farmers, agribusinesses, financial institutions, development partners, government agencies, international institutions, and other stakeholders to identify the latest trends and best agriculture practices and develop practical solutions that meet specific needs.

Our best-in-class training programs are structured to provide hands-on, practical learning experiences that help farmers and other agricultural stakeholders improve their skills, knowledge, and productivity. We offer a range of training programs, including Smallholder Farmer Training, Management Training for Middle and Senior Managers within the Agricultural Industry, Agricultural Finance Training for Microfinance Institutions and Technical Vocational Education and Training for Agricultural Industry – A certificate course from NBTE and AHK. Our trainers are experts in their fields, with many years of experience working with farmers and agricultural businesses.

In addition to its core capacity building mandate, we also conduct cutting-edge research in various fields of agriculture. Our research projects focus on developing new technologies, techniques, and strategies that improve productivity, profitability and foster sustainable agricultural. We collaborate with universities, research institutions, and other stakeholders to ensure that our research is rigorous and relevant to the need of the agricultural sector.
