About Us
Fostering Microfinance and Agricultural Growth with Excellence
The MLDC was conceived as a sustainable process of capacity building for the sub-sector that will operate on two important considerations: relevant, world-class curriculum and affordability. With this in mind, and in line with the primary aim of the MF Platform, which is to strengthen microfinance institutions with regards to capacity, to promote qualitative growth and to efficiently manage the quality of services, the Platform members at their meeting of 26th May 2015 set up a Committee to properly conceptualize and set up a Microfinance Learning and Development Centre (MLDC).

Established in 2015 as the capacity-building arm of the Nigerian Microfinance Platform, MLDC has been a cornerstone in the growth and development of microfinance institutions across Nigeria. Our unwavering commitment to enhancing the capabilities of microfinance professionals has driven us to deliver various capacity-building projects, sectoral courses, and standardized training programs. Over the years, we have catered to over 5,000 microfinance staff nationwide, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the Nigerian microfinance subsector.
