The Savings Mobilisation /Mobile/Agent Banking working group of NMP brings together microfinance and financial inclusion experts with hands on experience in the field of digital, electronic and mobile finance operations. The use of technology is gaining popularity in the microfinance sector and it is considered as one of the biggest opportunities in the drive to achieve financial inclusion.

The absence of required competences poses several challenges that hinder the realisation of its full potential but the working group aims to respond to these challenges and provide the operational knowledge and practical details needed to facilitate and ensure an effective implementation of digital operations throughout the sector.

Objectives of WG

• To facilitate the enhancement of the use of innovative financial services solutions in savings mobilization by microfinance banks, by supporting the development and deployment of a shared savings product for the sector.
