Joshua Ukute is the National President of National Association of Microfinance Banks (NAMB).

He is the current Managing Director of Alekun Microfinance Bank in Ogun State. He is a graduate of Applied Chemistry from the Federal Polytechnic Ado –Ekiti where he obtained his Higher National Diploma (HND) with Distinction and has a master’s in business administration (MBA) from Ondo State University. His work experience spans over 22 years with experience across Microfinance, Retail, Corporate and Mortgage banking. He is a Certified Microfinance Expert from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, a Member of the Institute of Credit Administration, a Microfinance Certified Banker (MCIB) from the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants and a Certified Management Consultant. Joshua is an alumnus of The Coady International Institute, St. FX University, Antigonish Canada, School of African Microfinance (SAM), Kenya and Lagos Business School. He is a consultant to Opportunity International, UK on Education Finance.
